The staffs were nice and lovely. The foods are good. The place is clean. The price is not cheap but understandable. We had 2 curries and 1 nan and 1 rice. So full and still have some left to take away home.
The mutton biryani was amazing. Thatโs my favorite. Dosa was also tasty.
I visited Chilli India at Melbourne Central recently and had a good overall experience. Itโs a convenient spot if youโre shopping or roaming around the CBD and want a quick Indian meal without leaving the centre. The food was flavourful and well-spiced, especially if you enjoy authentic Indian flavours rather than toned-down versions. Portion sizes were decent for the price, and the menu has a good range of North Indian dishes, including curries, biryani, and vegetarian options. The naan was fresh and soft, and the curry had a rich taste that felt freshly prepared. Service was fairly quick, which is great if youโre on a break or donโt want a long wait. Staff were polite and efficient, though itโs more of a casual dining or food-court style experience rather than a sit-down restaurant with table service. The seating area is clean and functional, but it can get busy during peak lunch and dinner hours due to the Melbourne Central crowd. If youโre visiting during rush hour, expect a bit of noise and movement around you. Overall, Chilli India is a solid choice for a satisfying Indian meal in the city. Itโs not a fine-dining place, but for tasty food, reasonable prices, and a central location, it does the job well. Iโd recommend it if youโre craving Indian food while in Melbourne Central or looking for a reliable, quick meal in the CBD.
Wow, the restaurant was honestly so good โ totally worth the trip. The spicy biryani was yum! The location isnโt very clear though, I was wandering around trying to find it. And the service was super fast โ the food came out hot and fresh! I loved that the rice wasnโt dry at all. The meal was $25 including the drink. Iโm definitely coming back again.
Iโm a big fan of Chilli India, normally getting take away I was so glad to dine in! ๐ Their food is delicious and warming. My favourite and go to is Palak Paneer, and I tried Dosa for the first time. It did not disappoint! I will be coming back to try more flavours.
