Absolutely wonderful service, food, and environment. Had the beef vindaloo and a lamb dish. The pani puri was delicious, and our waitress was wonderful and attentive. Food was quick, but this did not come at a cost of quality - it was incredible.

I ordered vegetable fried rice but was served plain fried rice with no real vegetables — just a bit of spring onion on top and about five pieces of red onion. The rice was completely smothered in sweet chilli sauce, which was extremely overpowering and the only flavour. I had only two spoons before leaving it untouched. When I raised this with the staff, I was told it was the chef’s recipe and that this is how it’s cooked. Honestly, it didn’t taste authentic at all and wasn’t what was ordered. Being offered $5 back felt dismissive, especially considering we are regular customers who visit at least once a week. Very disappointing experience.

My partner and I had a lovely dinner at Classic Indian! We have ordered takeaway here many times, this was the first time we dined in and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the meals were very fast and they were so delicious. Highly recommend for dinner! We will be back again 😊

Just discovered this gem when looking for indian restaurants close to home. One of the best Indian food I have had in years of living in Canberra. Excellent service and very cosy feel. Gobi manchurian was especially delicious. I am vegetarian so only tried the vegetarian dishes.

We went for dinner here for the first time. The meals were delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant seems to be rather quiet but have many takeaway orders. The timing of the meals was just about right for appetizers, main etc. Two important things that we believe need to be looked into: bathroom and dusting. We were the first guests and the bathroom did not have sufficient toilet paper, it was not cleaned, and the bin was full of used papers. Further, a number of soap or hand lotion bottles were lined up at the sink (i.e., they weren’t removed after being empty?!). The lights inside the restaurant had layers of dust. Perhaps one of the reasons why people like the meals but would rather not eat inside the restaurant and prefer takeaways is because the ambient of the restaurant is not inviting, and cleanliness plays an important role! I would have given them a 5 star review, had they considered the cleanliness aspects.
