We had a fantastic meal here. The parottas were fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked, and the Kerala beef curry was outstanding—rich, deeply spiced, and full of authentic flavour. The lime soda was refreshing and well balanced. Best of all, our kids enjoyed it too, which made the experience even better. Overall, a great place for genuine Kerala food, and we’ll definitely be back to try the Kerala style meals.

The ‘Curry and Hurry’ restaurant at Prospect has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The food was truly authentic and full of rich Kerala flavours. We especially enjoyed the Kerala meals, which were fresh, well-cooked, and perfectly spiced. The service was friendly and the staff were helpful. Overall, it was a great dining experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves traditional Kerala food or wants to try something flavourful and authentic.

We recently dined at Curry N Hurry and ordered a variety of dishes, with mixed but overall decent impressions. Chicken Biryani – 4/10 This dish fell short of expectations. It lacked the depth, aroma, and layered spices that define a true biryani. It felt more like plain rice mixed with chicken pieces rather than a slow-cooked, flavour-rich biryani. Essential elements such as whole spices, nuts, and fragrance were missing. The dish was also significantly delayed and arrived after the rest of us had finished eating, requiring us to follow up on the order. The raita served alongside was questionable—more like plain yoghurt than a proper raita. Personally, I wouldn’t order this again. Beef Ularthiyathu – 7/10 Exceptional. Well cooked, oily, and beautifully balanced with spices. Kerala Porotta – 8/10 Freshly made and enjoyable, though the portion size felt a little expensive for what was served. Butter Naan – 10/10 A clear winner with the kids—soft, fluffy, and better than what we’ve had at many other Indian restaurants recently. Chicken Tikka – 7/10 The portion size was unusually large for tikka pieces, but the chicken was tender and well seasoned, mild enough for kids. However, it lacked the signature char-grilled finish and appeared reheated (we did arrive after 10 pm, which may explain this). The mint sauce lacked mint flavour and was dominated by yoghurt, which was disappointing.Good amount of salad. Mango Lassi – 12/10 Excellent—well balanced, not overly sweet, and generously portioned. One of the best we’ve had. Plenty of parking and good seating with ambient lighting. Bollywood music was played at a high volume—not my personal preference, as lighter background music would have been more relaxing. The toilets, however, were unpleasant, with a noticeable smell and water on the floor, which needs attention. Gave me the vibes of visiting a local wayside eatery in India. Overall Curry N Hurry is a decent option for a fast-food–style Indian restaurant. Some dishes truly shine, while others need improvement. With better consistency and attention to service and cleanliness, this place has strong potential.

Great value Indian food with a good selection of dishes. Loved the aloo tikki chaat, chicken korma, prawn malabar and delicious garlic naan. We could choose the spiciness level to suit which was appreciated. A varied beer, spirits and wine list with some nice SA wines. Prices are affordable and service was excellent.

Was a great experience. Tried the Kerala Chicken curry and Butter Chicken. Both were excellent. The staff was great and helpful. And the place had an amazing ambiance.
