Deccan Flavours Hamilton absolutely slayed with their mutton biryani!. Was a massive hit at my X'mas catering and I grabbed more to go yesterday. Perfect blend of aromatic spices, generous portions. Best biryani in town, hands down! .

Food was really authentic Indian food. I felt blessed to have found the place and courteous people with their service. The atmosphere was very good for friends and family gatherings. And it was good quantity for the money. I ate to my fill especially when I couldn't cook on Christmas. So thank you so much guys you made my day!

Very Bad Food Quality – Not Recommended I ordered Chicken 65 takeaway last night from this place. When I had it at the hotel, the chicken was not fully cooked. I could clearly smell and taste raw flour. This is very unsafe. This is the third time I’ve faced issues here. First time, the chicken fried rice quality was poor. Second time, the Mutton biryani was extremely spicy and staff said “this is how we make it’’ Not a Valid answer though. I am a regular customer of their Lakemba branch which is very good but this Newcastle branch does not maintain the same quality. The food feels only 30–50% cooked. After eating, I had severe stomach discomfort issues and Diarrhea this Morning. Overall, very disappointing experience. This place is not recommended.

I came all the way from Tasmania, and I have to say — Deccan Flavours in Newcastle completely exceeded my expectations! We tried the chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, plain and garlic naan, chicken biryani, mutton biryani, and chicken 65 — and every single dish was absolutely amazing. The flavours were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The biryani was fragrant and cooked to perfection, and the chicken dishes were juicy, tender, and full of spice. Even the naan was soft and fresh, just the way it should be. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving delicious, authentic Indian food. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time — worth the trip!

Best Biryani in Town! I’ve tried biryani at many places, but this one truly stands out. The rice was perfectly cooked, the spices were balanced, and the aroma was absolutely mouthwatering. Every bite was full of flavor, and the portion size was generous. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Definitely my go-to spot for authentic, delicious biryani.
