Delhi Xpress offers a great taste of Indian street food. Must-tries include the crispy Chole Bhature and flavorful Butter Chicken. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a solid choice for anyone craving authentic Indian dishes. Chef Aman knows how to bring real Delhi flavors to the table. With his experience and love for Indian street food, he makes every dish taste amazing. His focus on quality and flavor is what makes the food so special.
Absolutely loved the food here! The flavors were rich and authentic — truly a taste of real Indian cuisine. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during our recent stay in Cairns. The lady at the front was very friendly and served us with a lovely smile, which made the whole experience even better. Keep up the great work! It’s not a fine dining restaurant, but if you’re after genuine, authentic Indian flavors, this place is a must-visit. The Kadhai Chicken was mind-blowing, and for a vegetarian option, I’d highly recommend trying the Kadhai Paneer.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 Star Experience at Delhi Xpress, Cairns! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re craving truly authentic Indian food in Cairns, look no further than Delhi Xpress. This place is an absolute gem and a must visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, smiles, and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Amandeep, the owner, is nothing short of phenomenal. You can instantly tell that he cooks with heart, passion, and deep pride in his craft. Every dish tasted like it came straight from the streets and homes of India. The curries were rich, perfectly spiced, and deeply flavorful. The naans and paranthas were fresh, soft, and made to perfection. The lassi and chai were outstanding, comforting, authentic, and unforgettable. This is real Indian food, not watered down versions. A huge shout out to Jaspreet, Amandeep’s wife, who serves with incredible warmth and care. Her passion for hospitality truly elevates the experience. Husanpreet and Amruta were equally amazing, attentive, friendly, and always serving with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. You can feel that this restaurant is run by people who truly care about their guests. Delhi Xpress isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience filled with soul, flavor, and heartfelt service. Easily one of the best Indian meals we’ve had anywhere, not just in Cairns. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back again and again.
The food here was absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was full of flavor — the chicken tikka was tender and well-spiced, the kidney beans curry was rich and comforting, and the naan were super soft and delicious. We also loved the mango coconut lassi — creamy, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. The service was quite slow, and there were a few mix-ups with orders between tables. It felt a bit disorganized, which took away from the overall experience. But if you're not in a rush and are here mainly for the food — it's definitely worth it!
We had a delightful experience at Delhi Xpress Indian Cuisine in Cairns North. The Tandoori Chicken was absolutely wonderful, packed with flavor and grilled to perfection. One of the standout items for us! The Panipuri could have been better, but the Mango and Mangoco Lassi more than made up for it, refreshing and rich with an authentic taste that instantly transported us to India. I tried Chicken Saagwala for the first time, paired with Garlic Naan, and I was genuinely impressed. The curry was flavorful and comforting, and it’s something I’d love to have again. The Chicken Biryani was another highlight, perfectly spiced, aromatic, and delicious. The blend of spices gave it just the right kick. While the atmosphere of the restaurant is fairly simple and not the most eye-catching, the food truly shines. I’d definitely recommend taking the time to sit down, relax, and enjoy a proper meal here. I’m already looking forward to visiting again next time I’m in Cairns.
