Amidst high hopes, we ordered chicken biryani and kotthu parota. After 15 minutes of wait, they brought the food. Chicken biryani was good but we found a dead, cooked fly in kotthu parota. We sent it back, they did apologise and said they were going to make a new one. And within 2 minutes, brought the same food without the fly. We knew it, they knew it. Terrible experience.
Absolutely delightful a place to call Home far away from Home(kerala). Was worth every dollar, tasty exceptional fish curry meals on banana leaf never excepted so delicious. Chicken biryani wrapped up in banana leaf, the fish tawa fry, beef fry was also so tasty just took my brain back to kerala. Reminded me don't have to always book a flight to eat kerala food LOL๐. THANK YOU DUM AND RUM.
A beautiful, clean, and quiet restaurant with excellent, attentive service. Sneha regularly checked in on us, especially about the spice levels, ensuring everything was perfect. The vegetarian biryani was full of flavour, and the kizhi parottaโwrapped in banana leaf and softened with vegetable curryโwas a standout. We ended the meal with freshly made ada pradhaman, rich with pure jaggery, and a cup of strong, aromatic filter coffee made with freshly boiled milk. Highly recommended!
We had a reservation for dinner on Saturday night. It smelled amazing as we walked towards the restaurant. The restaurant was buzzing and busy. The staff was very friendly and tentative. The food we ordered was so fresh and very tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu.
It's just the hype created around that restaurant about the authentic Kerala Food and about serving Toddy. Other than that, the food is nowhere compared to south indian food. The Thekkan chicken curry was bad, the starters are overpriced for for Vizhzham chicken fry which tasted bland. Only thing that was good was the chicken biryani and khizhi parotta. Even the normal parotta was not good.
