We tried Chicken 65 first, but it tasted more like basic fried chicken with sauce and was missing key spices. Not authentic and not tasty. The momos were overloaded with butter, which completely ruined the flavour. The khana set (daal, aachar, cauliflower, and saag) was disappointing. The vegetables tasted stale and not fresh. Overall, poor food quality and not worth the price. Definitely not recommended.
We had dinner last night at Durbar. The food tasted good, but unfortunately we found glass inside one of the dishes. Because of this, both my friend and I had to be hospitalised in the emergency ward. We were discharged only this afternoon. This experience was extremely frightening for us, and it has made us very hesitant about eating out again. I hope the restaurant seriously looks into this incident so it never happens to anyone else.
Have had okay, good, and great experiences in the past, and recently had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, with amazing customer service and a good ambiance. We had popular Nepali dishes (chicken soup momo, Newari chicken choila set, Nepali chowmein, chicken sausages, etc.), and they were pretty good. I would have preferred the popular and usual chicken sausages, although did not mind the type we were served.
Everything about this dining experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely top-notch, showcasing incredible flavors and perfect presentation. A special shout-out to the chef for creating such a memorable meal, and to Vai for providing outstanding service throughout. Truly a delightful experience.
We were looking for Nepalese food on our way back from Anna Bay and came across this place. We visited a couple of weeks ago, and both my wife and I with my little son were super satisfied with the experience. The restaurant has a beautifully set-up, spacious dining area with a cozy touch. There are a few couches with tables in the right corner, a small dance floor with vibrant lights, and a big projector screen playing music videos, adding to the lively atmosphere. Everything was well-maintained, including the clean and tidy washrooms. The food was absolutely deliciousโflavorful, fresh, and authentic! On top of that, the customer service was exceptional. The lady serving us (I didnโt get her name) had a great sense of humor and made us feel truly welcome. If youโre looking for amazing Nepalese food in the Newcastle region, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
