We went to Embers for lunch today and have Paapdi Chhat, Veg Thali and Non veg Thali and everything was delicious. We have been to many Indian restaurants before, but this one truly exceeded our expectations. Every curry was full of flavour, and we loved everything. Highly recommended for everyone.

Fantastic Indian well worth a visit. Edit... Thought I would edit this in light of a recent visit. The service we received on our last visit was in a word, pathetic. After being seated for dinner when only 4 others tables where occupied we waited over 25 mins and nobody had come to ask if we wanted to order a drink let alone dinner so my wife had to go to the front and ask to be served.... Then the meals took over 40 minutes (remember only 4 other tables in restaurant...) Meanwhile not once where we asked if anybody waned another drink even though most where empty.. This time I had to walk a up and ask for service only to find the waiter leaning against the counter scrolling like a 13 year old girl. Not good enough. It literally was very disappointing, yep food was still nice. Ambiance and service... Pass. We wondered why it was so empty... Not anymore.

I have moved from Sydney to Shellharbour and was looking for an authentic Indian restaurant and luckily found this one, it’s a must to leave a review as the quality and taste is constantly good, Delicious authentic Indian food with rich flavours, The service was friendly and quick, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again as i do almost every week :)

Had a great time dining here! The ambience is lovely — cosy, vibrant, and perfect for a nice lunch or dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The highlight for me was definitely the Drums of Heaven – they were perfectly cooked, super tasty, and bursting with flavour. You can tell they really put effort into their food. Overall, great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

I recently wrote a review on this restaurant, and I used terms such as “Ridiculously underwhelming”, and “Meh at best”. I want to reach out to you, the reader of this review, and say vehemently - I was wrong, and I wrote the review when it was late, and I was frustrated with my day, and the food just tipped the scale for the day. What I should have done, was go to bed, and wake up the next day, and write an appropriate review at that time. As you will see below, the owner has responded to my review, and he is right about everything he has written. I could have communicated about the spice level I wanted, I’ve done it at other restaurants, and I could have done so with this restaurant. The problem with the food was not 100% the restaurants fault, the fault is my own, and I apologise to you, the reader. I have spoken this evening with the restaurant owner, and I have apologised to him also. I want to inform you the reader, that I have not taken anything from the owner to change this review, the owner offered a full refund, I declined it, as I was harsh, and as aforementioned, I was taking my frustration out on this restaurant. I did however state to the owner that the chicken tikka was not great, and that it was not enjoyed due to the taste of the chicken meat, but I do believe that it could have been a one off situation. Thank you to you, the reader, for your time reading this, and thank you to the owner, for being as professional, and kind as you were at a time when you didn’t need to be.
