Hyderabad House in Geelong is one of my regular stops, and it never disappoints. I took the buffet this time, and it was genuinely filling with a great variety of classic dishes. The flavours were rich and homely, and everything tasted fresh. The haleem here is my absolute favourite — thick, comforting and full of authentic spice, easily the best I’ve had in the area 🍽️🔥. The staff keep the spread topped up and the vibe is warm and simple, perfect for a relaxed meal. Whether I’m craving biryani, haleem or just a satisfying buffet, this place always hits the spot.
The vibrant flavours were exceptional. The butter chicken was sublimely creamy, and the lamb rogan josh fell off the bone. Most surprisingly is the fry fish in the starter menu, it came with a mint yogurt and it was absolutely delectable and recommended Service was warm and attentive. A truly authentic and memorable lunch.
Had an amazing time at Hyderabad House. We went for the buffet and absolutely loved it – everything was full of flavor and tasted authentic. From starters to desserts, every dish hit the mark. Great food, great vibes, Highly recommend if you're craving Indian food in Geelong. #HyderabadHouse
I had a very underwhelming experience with this place. The naan, which cost $4.50 each, was thin, hard, and lacked flavor. The so-called garlic naan had only a faint yellowish tint with no real garlic taste. Even the plain naan was tough and low quality—hard to chew and far from fresh. The chicken BBQ was equally disappointing—dry, bland, and completely lacking seasoning. To make matters worse, the lamb Roghan Josh was unexpectedly sweet and completely tasteless, which is unacceptable for a dish that's supposed to be rich, savory, and full of spice. Overall, the food was well below expectations. Overpriced, poorly prepared, and totally forgettable. I would not recommend this place—don’t waste your money.
I really liked the food here. The buffet offered a good variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including mains, entrées, desserts, and drinks. One nice aspect was that portion sizes were unlimited, so we could enjoy as much as we wanted. The food was generally tasty; however, a downside was that the nuggets and chips were served cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the dining area was clean and well-maintained with no hygiene concerns. The décor could be improved, but the seating was comfortable and the lighting pleasant. The only issue was the music, which was initially too loud, but it was adjusted after we mentioned it, and we were able to enjoy the meal accompanied by beautiful Indian songs. The buffet included three drinks—water, strawberry lemonade, and orange juice—which was a nice touch. For $30, I felt it was definitely worth it.
