Absolutely exceptional Indian food! We were in Launceston for three days and ended up coming to Indian Food Junkiz on three different occasions with friends and family, that alone says it all. The food quality is outstanding, and the hospitality and customer service are truly amazing. We tried other Indian restaurants in town, but this one clearly stood out from the rest. The chilli chicken, lamb lababdar, and lamb butter masala are absolute must tries, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended if youโre looking for authentic, delicious Indian food in Launceston.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting which made the whole visit even more enjoyable.you can definitely feel the care they put in to making their guests feel comfortable. The food was amazing and full of flavour with delicious dishes and generous portion sizes. Everything from the service to the food was absolutely spot on! Highly recommend if youโre in Launceston to visit these guys for an authentic Indian meal - they will not disappoint! Will definitely be coming back.
Indian Food Junkiz โ Highly Recommended! The food was really good and the service was excellent. This is an authentic Indian restaurant run by owners from India, which truly reflects in the taste and hospitality. I had a lovely chat with them, and they were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered Chicken Lababdar, Tadka Dal, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi โ every item was absolutely tasty and full of flavor. Overall, a great dining experience with delicious food and warm service. Iโll definitely visit again and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian food.
A group of four dined here for the first time. The service was patient and friendly. We all enjoyed our meals. The curries were all topped to the rim. They replaced the mango drink without conplaint when we explained it tasted a bit sour. I felt they were attentive to whether or not we enjoyed our meals. Halal certification on the wall. Happy to return.
Went in for dinner with the family. First of all, parking is expensive and Max 90 mins, so you better make it quick. Service was overbearing. Food came out in 20 mins. Quantity was good. Quality was varied. Roti and briyani were good, even the naan. However the kadai paneer was an oily mess. I asked a server about it and he froze in response and after a few moments came up with a sad explanation - it was pure desi ghee. Thatโs a straight up fib, and that doesnโt mean it should be floating up top making a layer. The photo is after half the oil was decanted. Then the owner walked by and confirmed it is how this item was supposed to look and dismissed our concerns without even hearing us out. Absolute lack of responsibility or care towards customer concerns. Made us feel like we were dining there at our own peril. Donโt understand why the staff seem hostile - no one smiled or looked happy. No restroom facilities inside, was asked to goto the common facilities in the mall adjacent - this might be flouting the RSA license they seem to hold. I couldnโt wait to get out of there.
