We celebrated a birthday here and had an amazing experience! The staff went above and beyond to make the night special, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. Everything was well organized, and our group felt truly taken care of. Highly recommend this place for birthdays or any special occasion!
First visit today. We went for the meat thali $23.50 and the Poori Aloo to share. Upgrade with $4 lassi. Thankfully the kitchen were happy to swap out the ubiquitous butter chicken for the JD house chicken curry which was delicious. The lamb in the Rogan Josh also nice and tender. Just be aware that both curries were quite spicy which is fine by me but might be too much for someone else. The Nan was first class and the dal, garlicky and earthy. Yum. A minor quibble from someone who likes his gravy would be that both curries were quite dry although the flavours were good. We also enjoyed the potato curry with poori $14.90 and the accompanying mint chutney. Yea, I really liked that aloo curry. Stood out from other renditions. I was going to drop a star after being slightly overcharged, however mistakes happen and the server quickly corrected her error and apologised, so all good. I would be happy to go back and try more of the kitchen's dishes. A solid, local north Indian curry house.
I had an extremely disappointing dining experience here tonight. The overall quality of the food was poor, and the portion sizes were completely unacceptable for the high price. โI have ordered malai kofta. This was the worst dish. The koftas were dense, dry, and hard, nowhere near the light and soft texture they should have. They tasted stale. I have also added the photo of Malai Kofta.I have ordered Angara Paneer Tikka (approx. $23). This was a major rip-off. For $23, we received a dish with only 4 or 5 tiny pieces of paneer. The quantity was shockingly minimal and did not justify the high price point at all. I highly advise the management to address these serious issues with both portion control and quality control. We will not be returning." Thanks
The food is very tasty. I can recommend the cream cheese naan, which is excellent, and the Hydra badi chicken, which is also delicious. While I was deciding which dessert to choose, the staff kindly offered me samples of sweets I hadnโt tried before so I could taste them. That was such a nice gesture. I ended up finishing with a tasty gulab jamun. The service was great throughout. Iโll definitely be back and highly recommend it.
Visited today for lunch and everything was perfect. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Customer service was good. And hands down, Ive tasted the best sweets in Perth!! The sweets are the most authentic to what we get in India. I will be back to try the dinner menu soon.
