Extremely disappointing and poorly handled experience From the moment we walked in it went downhill. We were told by a female staff member that ordering was QR only despite clear signage on the wall stating food can be ordered at the counter. After going back and forth we finally placed the order. We ordered vegetable Hakka noodles mild specifically for our kids. Every single dish arrived except the noodles. By the time we asked, all adults had already finished eating while the kids were still waiting and starving. When we checked with the waiter we were told the chef who makes noodles was not even at the premises and had only just arrived and it would be another 10 minutes. Why would you take orders and charge customers when you do not even have the chef in the kitchen. When the noodles finally arrived they were hot which clearly showed they were cooked much later and not just delayed briefly. I took the full untouched noodle plates to the counter and explained the situation. The response from the same female staff member who originally told us it was QR only was a very casual sorry followed immediately by the EFTPOS machine being pushed in front of me showing $127. No discussion. No ownership. No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge that kids had been left hungry. That particular staff member clearly needs proper training on how to handle customer issues and complaints. This is basic customer service and it was completely missing. Completely dismissive attitude and very poor customer service. It felt like just take the money and move on. Very disappointing experience and absolutely not worth the frustration or the money. We will not be returning.

Jay Bhavani Gold Coast is an absolute gem! We had such a fantastic experience with Jay Bhavani Gold Coast. From the moment we looked at the menu, it was clear this place offers something different: a very interesting and unique selection of Indian street-food classics that you don’t usually find on the Gold Coast. It’s the perfect mix of fun, comforting and flavour-packed options. What really stood out first was the incredible packaging and clear labelling. Every item in our order arrived neat, organised and perfectly sealed. It’s honestly some of the best takeaway packaging I’ve seen: thoughtful, clean and so practical, especially when ordering multiple dishes. The team was extremely friendly, kind and welcoming. You can feel that they genuinely care about their food and their customers. It’s refreshing to see a business that takes service and presentation so seriously. The flavours were vibrant, portions generous and everything travelled well. Jay Bhavani is definitely one of those places you’re excited to recommend to friends because the food and service consistently exceed expectations. Absolutely delicious Gujarati snacks! 😋✨ Every bite was bursting with authentic flavors — perfectly spiced, crispy, and made with so much love ❤️. The Vadapav & Dabeli was soft and fluffy and authentic taste as well also Cold coffee 🧋, the puff super crunchy, and the burger just melted in my mouth 😍. Amazing flavours, great portion sizes. The best naan bread. So far the best Indian I’ve tried on the Gold Coast - will definitely be back to try more 😊 All staff were all very helpful and friendly also - thank you!
