We went here for a late birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience. The ambience was lovely and set the mood perfectly, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The mandarin yuzu drink was incredibly refreshing โ€” a great way to start the evening. The food was excellent: Indian cuisine with a creative twist, and it truly brought back several nostalgic memories from my days back home. The mango kozhambu with fish is an absolute must-try (wouldโ€™ve been perfect with white rice ๐Ÿ˜‰). The kaadai fry and onion bhaji were also standouts, reminding me of late-night snacking back in the day. We ended with the apricot dessert, which was very satisfying and a great finish to the meal. Overall, a memorable dining experience and definitely worth a visit.

What an incredibly special meal this was! A beautifully curated collection of dishes that delivered a delicious and refined culinary experience. So many wonderful textures and skilled use of spices that allowed the ingredients to shine. Although difficult to choose a favourite, highlights were the steamed rice cake with asparagus topping and the corn pancake with crรจme fraiche and chillis - wow! This is not to say that the eggplant tartlet wasnโ€™t also a delight. The clam and tomato soup served with great lentil doughnuts was like nothing Iโ€™ve eaten before but the goat main was tender, succulent and elevated by its wonderful accompaniments - particularly the lime achaar, of which each guest was given a small take home pot - a lovely touch. The dessert of mango sorbet, cremeux and cashew praline was a delightful ending to this lush meal. At this point I have run out of adequate adjectives. The spicy negronis were predictably excellent and different to the usual offering. Staff were warm, knowledgeable and clearly took pride in their work and in what their restaurant produces. This was the type of meal I would love for us to share with my parents - preferably at the table with us, but if not, to have heard me regale them with every detail. Just wonderful. Thank you.

Came to SAADI for their NYE banquet. The former Sunda space is really nice and the service was good. We felt the $100 menu was very good value, especially for NYE, but ended up a little disappointed with the food. They accommodated one vegetarian and one meat eater well (everything was vegetarian apart from two dishes on the menu, anyway). The three starters were very creative, but a bit bland, however we enjoyed the pipi/okra rasam with lentil doughnuts. My partner liked the goat main, but my dal was pretty awful. It had so much cardamom and other spices that it tasted like a bar of soap, and it was served with undercooked and cold squash/mushrooms. Not a bad meal, but probably wouldnโ€™t rush back.

We visited Saadi for a small birthday catch-up and had a really pleasant evening. The space is warm and inviting, and the wine service was especially lovely, the team took great care in guiding us through their list, and their recommendations added a lot to the experience. Of the dishes we tried, the leek and eggplant kebab was the one that truly stood out beautifully flavoured and very well prepared. The rest of the meal was simple and subtle, and while not every dish left a strong impression, the overall atmosphere, thoughtful service and relaxed pacing made it an enjoyable night. A gentle, cosy spot for good wine, conversation and a few memorable bites.

The service was absolutely fantastic - everyone was kind and made us feel very welcome. My dietaries (gluten and onion) were catered to in an extremely lovely way that made me feel very at ease. The food - especially the pork and the pumpkin hot sauce oysters - was incredible. Wines were great too. Really loved it, great celebratory night and have told everyone I know to come.
