Popped into this joint with a large group of ethnic peoples hailing from God knows where. Two of our party were of Indian decent which allowed formenu seleci chit chat in the dark continents LINGO! We had a range of spicy currys while throwing back whiskey on the Rocks! No issues to report and therefore five stars. Well actually a song comes to mind, I fell in to a burning ring of fire.

Not fresh food at all.Paneer tikka was not tandoori as it was loaded with oil and colour and burnt in pan .Dal taste was like cooked last wk.( bassi). Rotis are not tandoori and taste like made with machine , kept in fridge and sold after heating up in micro. Not recommended as it is waste of money !!

Loved the food here! Super fresh, full of flavour, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The garlic naan and paneer curry were standouts. Great vibe too โ€” busy but not chaotic. Easily one of the best Indian spots in Surfers Paradise.

We are Sankalp regular here in Melbourne so it was a Safe bet for us to go to Sankalp in Gold Coast but the food doesn't taste the same. While we are used to with tastes of dishes like Kaju Masala and Paneer Taka Tak here, they looked and tested completely different in Gold Coast - Something for the franchise to work on. Naan and Roti were average as well. When asked for the feedback by the owner, we mentioned how runny the curries are and they promptly took action to make another set of them. So nice of him for the gesture and hence I would give them 5 stars for Hospitality and Service but food certainly needs some uplifting. Brownie with Ice Cream was pretty good.

Located in The Beachcomber Motel on Hanlan Street Surfers Paradise. Not the easiest to find. As this Indian Restaurant is off the Main Strip of Surfers Paradise. Went on a recommendation by a work colleague. Large Restaurant with Many different seating options. The Restaurant wasnโ€™t busy when I entered. No one was around to usher me to a table. Took a seat at a table in the small alcove area at the front of the Restaurant. A waitress appeared and ignored me for about 10 minutes. I finally caught her attention and placed my order. A family of 5 arrived, (4 adults and a toddler), and went to sit at the rear of the Restaurant. Which is quite large. But, the waitress directed them to a table next to me. Then a family of four, (2 adults and two young children), came in. Again they went to sit in the rear part of the Restaurant and Again the waitress ushered them into the small alcove area,(the man was Not happy about being squeezed into the small corner space). So, my dining experience went from a relatively quiet and relaxed scenario. Enjoying the nice music. To a noisy, chaotic and unpleasant one. That included unruly, undisciplined children making a ruckus !! The Food was the Saving Grace !! The Dosa and accompaniments were Very Good and the Mango Lassi was lovely. The Waitress Never cracked a Smile the whole time I was there !! All in all it was quite a miserable experience ! PLENTY of Other Indian Restaurants to Choose from in Surfers Paradise. So, I Really Couldnโ€™t Recommend This One !
