We had awesome time with kids, kids love the food. Restaurant is very good, clean and neat. Food is very delicious, felt like home food. Service is great and prompt, definitely will visit again. Must try this place, highly recommend for any special occasion or just a fantastic meal out.
Sri Ananda Bhavan in the CBD delivers some of the most authentic South Indian flavours youโll find in Melbourne. The sambhar tastes truly authentic, rich, aromatic and perfectly balanced. The dosa was crisp with beautifully spiced masala, and the idly and vada were comforting and light. The filter coffee was outstanding โ๏ธ strong, smooth and a perfect finish. Top picks: Sambhar Vada, Onion Masala Dosa, Filter Coffee ๐ A must-visit for South Indian food lovers looking for real flavour and consistency ๐ฝ๏ธโจ
Hear about this place from few fellow south Indian food enthusiasts. Ended up coming for brunch here. We had to straight away order filter coffee which was good. Followed by the chilli idili and kara masala dosa. The chilli idili definitely is a winner ( fried on the outside and soft inside - for a minute I felt as if I was having fried potatoes; spicy and tasty for sure). The Kara masala dosa came with 2 chutneys and sambar( I enjoyed the spice power aka Kara and the flavourful mashed potatoes in the dosa; I personally loved the peanut chutney). This place also serves traditional sweets. Overall the food was good. Definitely worth trying.
This restaurant offers a delightful Indian vegetarian cuisine. Every dish we sampled was bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. The diverse menu showcases the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere enhances the overall dining experience. From the appetizers to the main courses, each plate was a testament to the chef's skill. The presentation of the food was visually appealing, adding to the enjoyment. The service provided was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome. Without a doubt, the dahi puri was the absolute best we have ever tasted.
Amazing food and service. People wonโt usually wander down to this part of town, but those who discover this hidden gem are bound to love it. I ordered the Sri Ananda thali which consisted of so much food that I almost had to crawl out of the restaurant. Everything is refillable too so you can get seconds of anything you like. The place is bright and clean and I enjoyed the overall ambience. Highly recommended.
