Wow! How I love this restaurant! Fabulous 70s atmos, friendly family and the good us outtasite! Did you know this is Australia's oldest family owned restaurant? I've been going there for 25 years, like a home away from home.
We dropped in for dinner a few days back. Service was super fast. The food was very good. Prices were very reasonable as well. I will highly recommend.
Donโt judge a book by the cover. Although it looks a bit dated the food here is as good as many of the top Indian places I have been to around Australia. Loved my meal and the service. Prices are reasonable and the food was really good. Not a single dish I did not like. Will definitely be back here again.
Good food and great service. Donโt be late. They shut early. Only place in Canberra where they serve โRotisโ. Other Indian restaurants can pick this one from Taj Mahal in the city.
Small seating area I felt a bit cramped the first night I ate here. Ordered with a colleague we had a shared starter of tandoori chicken and went for a couple more curries with rice. Price is great for Canberra city. Curry with rice for 22$ the portions were good but if youโre hungry go for 2 curries. We ordered another curry and rice with extra nan breads. Flavour was really good too authentic and delicious. We returned a few days later and ordered 3 curries this time to start with extra rice and nans. Lamb vindaloo is recommended
