One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. Wonderful flavours and friendly service. Would highly recommend if you want to experience great Indian cuisine that stands apart from the norm.
One of the best indian restaurants, in terms of food and taste, that I have had the pleasure of going to. The entrees (pani puri and momos) and the mains (lamb vindaloo, chicken balti and prawn gaon) were delicious. It's not just a dump of overpowering heat and overwhelming spices. The chefs have them thought about the flavours of each dish, and you can taste it when you eat it. Also, the lamb, chicken and prawns were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well. They timed the meals well, and checked if we were ready for the mains before bringing the food out. Super impressed. Highly recommended.
Stumbled across this restaurant looking for somewhere to have dinner and we are so glad we did. The restaurant looks beautiful and from the second we arrived the lovely gentleman at the front counter had amazing customer service! He was so welcoming and kind, such a great energy to have at dinner. We ordered the pani puri (always wanted to try it) and it was delectable!!! One of my favourite foods now :). We also had a few of the curries and they were also very delicious, the perfect comfort food!! Compliments to the chef! And a big thank you to the gentleman who served us with great enthusiasm and warmth:) Will definitely make this a regular place to eat, cannot wait to try more things on the menu!!
If youโve been to Paddington Curry House, youโll know what to expect here โ but if not, The Kari is well worth a visit to see why they are the sister store of the recently earned title of QLDโs best Indian restaurant. Start with the Bombay Crunch: think of it as a luxurious hash brown layered with unexpected but perfectly balanced flavours. Itโs indulgent and delicious. The Pani Puri are also a highlight โ crisp shells that actually hold the liquid (a rarity), creating a fun, tasty bite thatโs as entertaining as it is delicious. Itโs one of those dishes that might look unusual at first, but quickly becomes a favourite at the table. The curries here are rich and full-bodied, with none of that watered-down texture you sometimes find elsewhere. The Palak Paneer was the standout favourite at our table, while the Prawn Goan Curry was a pleasant surprise โ seafood curries arenโt common, but this one was beautifully done with plump, flavourful prawns. Inside, the restaurant has a refined atmosphere with Indian artwork and dรฉcor adding warmth and charm. The venue is smaller than their Paddington and New Farm locations, so itโs wise to book ahead. We also noticed plenty of takeaway orders streaming out the door โ always a good sign that the locals have embraced it too.
